How can I be a normal person?

Im the most naive eighteen year old female there is. I know nothing. I've lived a pretty sheltered life. I dont know how to converse with people and I often find myself in awkward and uncomfortable situations. I tend to avoid confrontation. Also, I speak in broken sentences....my words dont make sense and it doesnt come out the way I want it to. I am extremely right brained, I dont even think the left side of my brain functions...I'm pretty slow, even in my speech. I'm clumsy...I have adhd...among other things, I'm sure. It takes me awhile to catch on to things, and I usually have to think hard, I always find myself admiring clever, articulate people and disliking myself for not being like that. I dont have a lot of friends, Ive never been in a relationship....in fact ive never even been kissed. I dont get out of the house often enough to experience anything. everyone I know is growing up and moving on but I still feel like im eight years old. My wrangler 04' has overdrive with the option to disable it when needed. lately, my jeep has been having a tough time increasing rpm/speed going up a hill even when my gas pedal is being pushed. It feels abnormal to be putting so much pressure on the pedal and to have no response in rpm/speed. I recently disabled the overdrive when approaching hills and the jeep rides great, picking up speed as i push the pedal. SO, is it ok to hit the 'O/D off' on whenever needed (approaching a hill), at any speed? I just don't want to misuse overdrive and cause another problem. Thanks much!!

Mislead by my roofing contractor. How should I handle this?

Insurance covered all but $1000 of my roof replacement. Roofing company agreed to do the job for what insurance paid (+ my $1k). Contractor sold me on a higher grade of shingles than he actually used. He also did not install the shingles to a degree that allowed me to get the higher wind rated warranty (even though he acted like he knew what he needed to do to get this taken care of). Job was just completed, but I have not paid them yet. How should this be handled?

Father denying paternity?

My ex-partner and i had a relationship for two years, during this we have one beautiful daughter and another baby on the way, we split up in july and now he is denying paternity, he has not been very good with visitation arrangements since we split even though the end was amicable it was not without its anger and petty issues, ( may i add that everytime we do talk, he is so angry and picks fights with issues from the past, i know he hurts as i hurt too) everytime i try and attempt some resolve with visitation and even said when he can just text me (as he refuses to speak to me via phone) he does not bother or turn up or cancels 20 mins before we are due to meet, now he is denying paternity, his name is on the birth certificate and has raised her since she was born ( he was at birth) we were together for 2 years yet now that we split, it appears he has abandoned her as he is not with me. It makes me sick that he could stoop so low. I worked in Curley's Barbershop in New Smyrna Beach FL. for 7 years and the owner and staff will not let any of my customers know that I have opened my own shop. Invisibility question for all you physicists?

Now I realize that the British have recently created an invisible "shield" around various small objects, and will soon be able to create them around any object of any size or shape. Focal or partial seizure in pit bull/rottweiller?

My son's 2 year old cross dog is having very minor (seizures?). They happen usually at night. He is laying down and then has little rapid movements of his head. This lasts for about 20 seconds and he is totally responsive during this time and will come to him when called. He had been put on seizure med, but after 2 weeks, the seizures did not change. Sub-zero ice maker is spraying water?

We came home to find a lake in front of our Sub-Zero refrigerator, Model 532. When we opened the freezer, water was shooting out from the ice maker. Having PCOS just makes your cycles irregular and you may ovulate some months and not others. It does make it a little harder to become pregnant but you are none the less still fertile and can still get pregnant. I was diagnosed with it several weeks ago even though I still ovulate, my cycles are very unpredictable. I am awaiting my treatment from my specialist. If you were ovulating on those days then there is a chance. But the best thing for you to do if you do have PCOS is to keep track of your BBT so you can see if there is a normal cycle for when you ovulate during your cycle. Good luck!

DVD burner is super slow now?

Backing up my DVDs again since just about all my backups have denatured into unreadable. My burner, however, has become absurdly slow during the burning process. Encoding them onto the PC for backing up is the same and takes a reasonable amount of time. However, it took about 5 hours, last time, for it to burn 4gigs onto a DVD and the DVDs have popped out very hot. Now it DID work which was surprising cause I mean this DVD was hot. I think it's just overheating really quick and slowing itself down to keep from exploding but I have no idea why since I haven't changed anything on the computer that would cause it to do this. Any ideas on what might have happened or how to fix this?

I never received strong education about specific policies of presidents until political science and history cl in college. My public school education was more about the what happened rather than who did it, but there was limited instruction about what specific presidents did (Washington, Lincoln, FDR). I think the most critical a teacher in my highschool got of a president was Wilson for staying out of WWI for so long, I think that was the only time.

I have had a little dot of blood(super light pink) only sometimes when i wipe after peeing. Can my Child Support be raised even though I am unemployed?

This is actually not about me this is about my fiance. I will make a long story short...He has been unemployed for 7 months now. He was terminated from his position. About 1 month ago he received legal doents for the Prosecuting Attorney's office concerning child support modification that was being demanded by the state, not the Mother! He had to fill out all the information stating he has no income and that I am the one with the income and that is how he is living. Now after turing that information in, it has been "ignored". Regardless of the fact that he is not working. They are going based off of his last employment even though it has been 7 months since he worked there. I was not aware that they could do this!! Obviously he can't pay it! And so now it is just going to pile up in more back support. He still makes the state minimum payment every month so he is paying something at least! We tried to get a lawyer and had a consultation but he said that it would take fighting with the Prosecuting Attorney and could cost us up to $5,000. Stay far away from quartz. True granite is the black granite and is very dense. The colored granite is a mixture of granite chunks and other minerals. well you gotta figure your sauce wasn't 400F approx 200C, it will take time to reach that and if you expect your meat to cook up to 165 F then you have to admit the sauce to that temp which can make and most likely break a sauce and i dont mean fall apart, scalding a tomato i dont care for and breaks into different acid's not so tasty to me,,,,, cook your 1st,, i am a bake fan, but pan frying is just as great though different,,, i would suggest going through many processes untill i found my preference and keep it.. i write down my experiments as they go,, enjoy,, and dont be poisoning people,lol,, :)

How should I color-pattern a circular shield to create an optical illusion?

I am embling a flat circular shield for a foam-combat game, and the idea of covering the fabric face of it with an optical illusion occurred to me. What sort of simple pattern would produce that sort of effect? A two-tone pattern without gradient-shading would be easiest (white on black, single color on solid background, etc). What's helped you chronic pain sufferers in back pain?

I've had two back surgeries, which were not 100% successful by any stretch. In addition to pain/muscle meds 3-4 times a day, I find that adding plain epsom salts to a hot bath helps. A product called Baththerapy is great too. The body absorbs magnesium from the salts in the water, which eases the muscle pain. In addition I have to take a liquid potium supplement for different condition, but potium levels affect muscle pain. The tight muscles can squeeze the nerves, which in turn aggrevate nerve pain.I put a good foam topper on the bed and bought Tony Little's pillows, both which have made a huge difference. I can at least sleep 5-6 hours without waking up numb, tingling and in pain. It's been a few years now, so I try to distract myself, and live as normally as possible (my entire lifestyle has been affected, am now considered disabled), get some form of exercise even though I know full well it will hurt (hey it already hurts, so wtf), and cry sometimes. I don't play with meds, and the body will only metabolize so much anyway, so more does not always work, and of course can be dangerous. Norco, Tramadol and Robaxin have worked well for me, whereas I found percocet, morphine and duragesic patches are not as effective for me. Sometimes I add plain asprin if I feel inflammation. I wish you well.

Why do I have pain/soreness in my gum and cheek?

It's hard to pinpoint the source of the pain (tooth etc). Both my gum and up into my cheek hurt. It hurts to smile wide, laugh or even open my mouth wide. It also hurts to chew. My brother is in the hospital after a drunk driver hit him and i have legal custody of him......?

Furnace rough ignition.?

I have an old Tappan furnace its from the 70's lately it has started to have an ignition problem. There is the pilot light then the click from the gas valve. What should I title my novel?

I am working on this novel. It is about a normal girl who meets this guy who is a Colban, which is an unknown group of people that creep during the night, staying in dark, abandoned houses. Their skin is coated with clear steel, which would melt if they stayed in the sunlight for too long. They hunt humans since their bodies can't process such little meet, or else they would starve. Garrett, the male protagonist, is sick of living inside, not being able to live a normal life. He hates seeing people content with their lives since he is not. How to cope with parting?

Distance is really tough when put between an important and sentimental relationship. The best way to cope is to do what you are already doing. Acknowledge that the time spent together is precious and spend the time apart keeping in touch via skype, email, letters, phone calls etc. You're only 14 and you already realize how much you love and need your grandparents which I think you are very lucky to acknowledge at such a young age. I am forced to wonder what your relationship is to the people you live with the other 9-10 months of the year. Perhaps a good way of coping would be strengthening other relationships near to you as well. It depends when the admission deadline is. If you're a senior and taking the SAT in January will get the results to them after the admission deadline, then they won't reconsider if they already rejected you by that point. Definitely retake it if the deadline is in February or later, because if you do better on it this time they will look at the highest scores. They will probably understand if your GPA sunk because of a medical reason, but I don't know much about those schools so I really can't say what your chances are of getting in.

ok im a 14 year old christian guy. but i have a little bit diffrent view on christianity then most christians do. I think basically that Christianity is moving farther and farther away form what God inteneded it to be. One way i see this is is in my opinion i see Christian extremists the people who are making the world angry. It is peoople like extreme Christians that make people look down on reality. I see Extreme Christians like the pharisees in the Bible. For example when they were angry with the disciples that they didnt wash thier hands before eating. They was a extremley stupid reason that they got angry and blew a simple thing out of proportions. And from what i see alot of christians (not all of them) blowing simple things out of proportion, which contributes to why people look down on christians. I also noticed that christians cant stand to see the world change around them, and retaliate when things do change. I think Christians need ot open there eyes and think outside the box a little bit more and see that the world does not change around them. Jesus understood that the world changes and that time changes and he explained that. But it seems these days christians dont seem to get that. I think that what happens is that some people try to hard and they fail and what there main inttention was in the first place. Also Christians are becoming more and more quick to judge others. Last time i checked Jesus said to remove the plank in you eye before you can remove the speck from your brothers eye. So basically my idea is that we are becoming less and less of what God intended Christianity to be. And that it will continue like this until Christians realize that this is happening.

I was charged VC 22350 and a broken brake light which I already fixed and signed off. I believe I was not going 45mph at anytime on the road. Carpet flood in 2nd story apartment! How long should I have dehumidifiers running for a 30 gallon spill?

Its probably dry they are just being extra sure. I cant believe 30 gallons was that big of a mess. Ive shot nails into water pipes and they leaked for days. One time we were putting cabinets in a newly remodeled bathroom and we broke of the water pipe, it was for like five minutes while we ran all over the house looking for the water shut off, now that was a mess and it dried in like two or three days with a couple of those big carpet drying fans.
