What keyboard should I buy? 10pts!?

I've been playing keyboard for about 8 months and I'm ready to upgrade to a better instrument. Does anybody have any recommendations? I'm currently using the Casio CTK-481, good for beginners but all in all not so great. I've practiced at least an hour every day for 8 months so I'm not a beginner anymore, but I'm not an expert either so I don't want anything too complicated. I want something that isn't too expensive ($200-$300 maximum) but at the same time is better quality than my Casio. I plan to do recording. So does anybody have any good ideas for me? 10pts for the best answer. Thanks :)
