What are considered "age appropriate" places to check out or activities for 30some..?

thing singles to engage in? I'm apporaching my mid 30s and tend to be drawn to the younger 20something set, since like me they're still trying to "find themselves", career-wise and because a good portion of them are single.. A bulk of my own friends are now married and have kids. I think they have their free time all layed out - when not at work, hang out with the wife and children! I'm a litle confused being in my 30s and single. Where do people of my age set go to have fun and what type of hobbies and/or activities are good ones to involve oneself in? I like to dance, but many places that have dance floors tend to cater to 20something singles. I hate feeling and possibly looking like the "old man in the club". I'd appreciate your input.
