Is Hip Hop really dead?
In my own opinion, I don't think it's dead, but I think it's more "underground" If I do say so myself. I mean I love artists like Lupe, Common, Nas and other artists, but I think I can agree with most of some comment's I see on Youtube. I think today's music leaves out on what REALLY makes Hip Hop art. To be honest I REALLY miss the 90's because there was alot of things going on that alot of artists were able to express themselves and such. But I think with today's music, they completely missed the mark but instead put dumb lyrics about women,,violence, drugs, money, swag, danc… moves and etc. I don't want to ramble anymore. I just wanna hear what you guys think and if that being the case. Was the 90's the best music era for Hip Hop. (Note: I like Erykah Badu,Jay Z, Mary j. Blige, Gorrilaz Jill Scott, a lil of Angie Stone, Mobb Deep,Kanye West and etc) just giving you guys my musical preferance in music. (Note: also I was born in the 90's just lettin ya know) just to clear things up
